Is the mirror supplied with a bracket?
Yes – All our mirrors are supplied complete with suitable bracket systems (where appropriate) depending on the use and style of the mirror. Please refer to our Mirror Selection Guide in order to see exactly which bracket is supplied with each mirror.

Can you use the mirror outside?
We have a full range of mirrors suitable for exterior use. In particular: 1. The Heavy Duty mirror which features an acrylic or stainless steel mirror face has a foamed plastic back that will withstand all normal outdoor conditions. 2. The Deluxe mirror which features an acrylic or stainless steel mirror face with a powder-coated full steel back and will withstand harsh and extreme outdoor conditions. 3. The Pro Series mirror which features an impact resistant mirror face with a moulded ASA plastic back and reflective tape around the face for added safety and visibility in traffic situations.

What can you attach the mirror to?
Depending on the model, our mirrors can be easily fitted to a wall, ceiling, post or pole. All mirrors are supplied with the most suitable bracket system. Additional brackets and fittings can also be purchased separately.

What sizes do the mirrors come in?
The mirrors come in a large range of sizes, from 300mm through to 1200mm diameter depending on the style. To find the actual size range for a specific mirror, please refer to our selection guide.

What is a convex mirror?
A convex mirror is curved outwards to provide a wider angle of viewing.

What is the difference between a concave and convex mirror?
A convex mirror curves outwards to provide a wider angle of viewing whereas a concave mirror curves inwards which magnifies images. Concave mirrors are only suitable for cosmetic or school science use.

What is the difference between the interior and exterior mirrors?
The interior mirrors are ideal for indoor and sheltered outdoor areas. The exterior mirrors are suitable for light and heavy industrial areas as well as exposed outdoor locations.

What is acrylic?
Acrylic is a plastic material which is used for a wide variety of products and situations from door knobs to aircraft windows. Acrylic is a material of choice for convex mirrors due to its outstanding optical clarity. It is also light weight, weather resistant, UV resistant and impact resistant.

What type of mirror would I use for my driveway?
There are three main models which a most often used for this situation: 1. The Heavy Duty mirror which features an acrylic or stainless steel mirror face with a plastic back and will withstand all normal outdoor conditions. 2. The Deluxe mirror which features an acrylic or stainless steel mirror face with a full steel back and will withstand harsh and extreme outdoor conditions. 3. How do I keep the mirror clean?
The products and method used for cleaning your mirror will depend on which mirror face you purchase: 1. Acrylic or Polycarbonate Faced Mirrors – Clean with soap and water, and then with a soft, lint-free, damp cloth. Use a non-abrasive polish, such as DuraVision Acrylic & Polycarbonate Mirror Polish. Do not use abrasives, acids or solvents such as petrol or lacquer thinners. 2. Stainless Steel Faced Mirrors – Clean with soap and water, and then with a soft, lint-free, damp cloth. Use a non-abrasive substance to polish to its original brilliance.
